The Volunteer & Exempt Firemen's Association of Lynbrook was established in 1931 for the benefit and welfare of the members and their families.
All active members of the Lynbrook Fire Department may join the Benevolent by submitting an application and the appropriate fee. Any member who leaves active service of the fire department and has completed five years of active service may remain in the association, by paying their dues each year.
The governing body of the Association is the Board of Trustees, which is made up of two members from each of the six companies.
The Annual Meeting is held on the fourth Monday in April. The Board of Trustees meets on the fourth Monday of each month.
